대한뇌졸중학회 회원 여러분께

대한뇌졸중학회 영문학술지 (JoS) 편집위원장 김종성입니다.

혹독한 더위에 고생이 많으실 것으로 생각됩니다. 하지만 여름은 잠시 한가하게 지난 일을 곰곰히 생각해 볼 수 있는 시절이기도 하며, 또한 모처럼 가족들과 함께 지낼 수 있는 소중한 시간일 수도 있습니다.

아시는 바대로 Journal of Stroke (이하 JoS)의 세 번째 impact factor (IF)는 4.750 로 나와 작년 IF 5.576 보다 다소 하락하였습니다. 그러나 우리나라의 100여개 SCI 잡지 중 두 번째로 높으며 국제적으로도 임상 뇌졸중 학술지로서 Stroke 에 이어 두 번째로 높습니다. 여전히 세계 여러 나라에서 많은 논문들이 투고되어 편집팀에서는 한 여름에도 바쁘게 지내고 있습니다. 모두 회원 여러분께서 훌륭한 논문을 보내주시고, 심사해 주시고 또한 인용해 주셨기 때문임을 잘 알고 있으며 이에 진심으로 감사드립니다.

편집위원회에서는 지난 7월 10일 workshop을 개최했습니다. 임상연구와 연관된 통계에 관한 강의가 있었고 expert panel 을 통해 SCI 논문에 accept 되는 길에 대한 열띤 토의도 있었습니다. 또한 JoS의 발전을 위해 contribution 을 많이 한 선생님들에 대한 시상이 있었습니다.

하지만 우리가 어렵게 이룩한 IF 를 유지하고, 더 높은 국제적 잡지로 도약하는 데는 회원 한 분 한 분의 지속적인 노력이 필요합니다. 내년 (2019) IF는 2018 년 SCI 잡지에서 인용한 `2016년과 2017 년’ JoS 논문 수를 바탕으로 계산하는데 편집위원장으로서 JoS의 IF가 지난해에 비해 다소 하락하였기 때문에 한 해의 중반으로 접어든 지금 마음이 조급해집니다.

아래 2016년, 2017년 JoS에 실린 논문 목록을 보내드리오니 선생님께서 올해 publish 예정인 논문의 경우 2019 IF 를 위해 이들 논문을 반드시 인용해 주실 것을 부탁드립니다.

또한 JoS는 그 동안 우리에게 관심 있는 주제에 대한 review 논문을 지속적으로 게재해왔습니다. 이러한 review articles은 JoS의 IF 유지에 매우 중요하므로 회원 여러분의 적극적인 contribution 을 간곡히 부탁드립니다. 회원 여러분 본인이 review article을 submit 하시거나 혹은 편집팀과 미리 상의하셔도 좋습니다. 혹은 최근 interest가 있는 분야에 대한 review article 을 쓰실 만한 분 (국내, 국외)을 추천해 주시기 바랍니다. 몇 분 안 되는 편집인들로서는 이러한 일을 진행하는 데에 한계가 있습니다.

이미 아시는 바대로 대한뇌졸중학회에서는 JoS 논문의 게재, 심사, 인용들을 모두 고려하여 JoS의 발전에 노력하신 분들께 매년 시상하고 있습니다.

앞으로도 대한뇌졸중학회지 JoS에 변함없는 관심과 사랑을 보여주시기 바랍니다.
